Traditional Christmas card designs will feature two primary colors: red and green. Looking at Christmas from a purely religious perspective, red represents the blood of Jesus Christ, while green represents peace, hope and life. These two colors are known worldwide to mean all things Christmas. Of course, other colors do often pop up in various Christmas card designs. These colors include silver, gold, gray, blue and purple. All of these colors are deep and very suitable to the winter season, as well as the winter holidays and Christmas.
Many Christmas card designs are made up of the two traditional Christmas colors: red and green. In addition, many of the designs that are used in holiday card designs include the use of various traditional symbols. Think Christmas trees, doves, candy canes, boxes and bags of presents, snowflakes and snowmen, and of course, Santa, his sleigh and his reindeer. These symbols are used so often on Christmas card designs that they are immediately recognized around the world, by people of all ages, sizes, religions and from both genders.
